Leaving the EU

Bad idea to talk about it too long. Companies won’t have an easy choice building business here if they’re not sure on what grounds they’ll be trading with the rest of the world from.

Being out would be awesome, then we regain a lot of powers in a country that enjoys being independent winners.

Being in is awesome, it makes us more than just us with the world and expands our culture.

Olympics value

The Olympics. Costly in money, but the real value was reasling that our nation is bloody awesome. F you annoying whiny people.

If you alwasy focus on money, nothing would happen but hearing your melchoncy mind complain as you watch it drain away.

The Olympics showed us that we’ve got loads to look forward to.

Can someone organise another big one for us all to get behind please.

Trust the masses – when every citizen can vote electronically

Let’s skip ahead 20 years. When we could realistically electronically authenticate every UK citizen available to vote… What changes?

Do we all vote more frequently, with the same apathy as now, with the same care as a Facebook update or would we all take it more seriuosly?

Imagine we could all adjust the budget to what we want (like the Delib budget simulator), every year, on masse, we choose how we’d like to apportian the state budget simply by moving some sliders or choosing which projects we’d like to invest in.

It could be, every eligibale UK citizen gets to pick from a handful of projects to spend the council budget. Each eligable project having a kickstarter video, page and proposed budget.

It may not be sensible to give over the whole budget to every under, mis and over informed voter. But it would be a start to a truer democracy. It’s scary right, some power directly actaully in peoples’ little sweaty hands.
